Darren Ho – reaching out to the unreached

VOXSports is a familiar name amongst many Singaporean sports enthusiasts. Through soft-media coverage of local inter-school sports, VOXSports has always taken an active role promoting the local school sports scene. VOXSports coverage has also helped many of our young sportsmen have received due recognition for their individual achievements.

The man behind all this is Mr Darren Ho, an expert who leverages on social media platforms to help many potential brands’ market penetration strategies. Mr Ho also owns a Social Media company which develops content and media channels. In addition, Mr Ho possesses 13 years of experience in the digital media industry specialising in game development, telecommunications, web development and digital interactive media. He currently owns a few companies under the AzVOX media group which has operations in several countries.

Prior to his success in the digital media industry, Darren has handled MGX Communications which helped to develop mobile applications for banks, and provided other forms of solutions to the clients. The company has managed to attain accreditations in Singapore, Taiwan, China, Malaysia and Ghana. His systems have been used by many prominent organizations locally and internationally, such as SSC, MOE and PA.

Given his success, Darren has always put in effort to innovate his business model.

His emphasis on creativity and innovation has resulted in his success today. Together with his joyful and friendly personality, Darren’s focus on maintaining relationships has resulted in him winning the hearts of many employees. As a result, his employees stay committed to him, because they are contented to be under such great leadership. Such strong relationships and hence great teamwork in the company is one of the major factors that drive the company to success.

Darren is also a person with resilience and determination. Despite his hectic schedule, Darren has always found time to set an example to the rest. Hence, many of his employees often look up to him as a role model. Once Darren has a goal in mind, he will work to achieve his goal no matter how many obstacles stand in his way. Not only that, he often self-reflects to learn from the mistakes he has made, in an effort to improve himself. All these factors have shaped him into the person and success he is today.

After the interview session with Darren, our group feels extremely motivated and impacted by his stories of his success and failure. Our group has decided that all of his achievements, and his success story should be shared for people to learn from him. Therefore, our group would like other students, like us, to be impacted by his life story, and to learn from him.
