Norma Sit: A Social Entrepreneur

Norma Sit is a social entrepreneur. She is the Managing Director of Numoni Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based company that leverages telecommunications technologies to empower the under-banked of the world, bringing cash to account to effect payments in developing economies and for the international migrant worker population. Her deep experience in payments spans more than ten years across multiple organisations, from global networks like Visa International to heading a national payment infrastructure company in Singapore.

Norma has led initiatives in diverse sectors of the economy, from government to MNCs, from SMEs to non-profit organisations, and in a range of industries from air transportation to education, fashion and the arts. She has served in committees and boards, both private and public, with the perspective that organisations need to embrace the Triple Bottom Line approach, giving equal weight to Planet, People and Profit for multi-generation sustainability. Norma believes strongly in the power and creativity of the human spirit to find solutions to the challenges humanity face today, including meeting the UNDP MDG goals set for 2015.
